Google review link: get yours, then build the request
Google gives every business an official review link. In your Business Profile, open your reviews and choose Get more reviews, then copy the link. Paste it below to get a ready-to-send text and email.
Step 1: get your official link
- Sign in to your Google Business Profile at business.google.com.
- Open Read reviews, then choose Get more reviews.
- Copy the link. On a desktop browser you can also save a QR code for invoices, receipts or a card you leave behind.
Why not a generated link? Many “generators” build a link from your Place ID. Google doesn’t document that link format, and Google says Place IDs can change over time. The link from Get more reviews comes from Google itself, so use that one.
Step 2: build the message
The builder needs JavaScript. You can also copy the script on the review request move.
Rules for asking
- Ask every customer, not just the ones you think are happy. Google prohibits selectively asking for positive reviews.
- Don’t offer anything in return. Google bans incentives for reviews, and the FTC rule bans incentives tied to positive or negative reviews.
- Don’t pressure people on site. Send the request after you’ve left.
What this doesn’t do
It doesn’t create, check or shorten your link, and it doesn’t send messages. You copy the text and send it from your own phone or email.
